Position Description Under the direction of the Service Maintenance Manager, the Janitor is responsible for the overall cleanliness, physical appearance and presentation of the community, while maintaining a positive, productive relationship with the other team members and with residents. The Cleaner will provide janitorial duties to maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exteriors site through regular scheduled cleaning activities. This position has a requirement of five days a week in office. Responsibilities Responsible for scheduled functions as emptying trash cans, cleaning windows, walls, floors, stairwells, and carpets. Maintain cleanliness of exterior grounds by picking up litter and maintain trash areas. Support maintenance staff in landscaping activities including sweeping sidewalks, raking, planting flowers and installing mulch. Perform cleaning of vacant apartments on turnover. Perform smoke/co battery replacements, light bulb replacements and support on minor deficiencies. Assist in snow removal activities and be available for cleanup during weather events. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. Physical Demands & Work Environment Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across sites. Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions. Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required.
