Benefits:401(k)Competitive salaryDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceJob Overview:AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to support the Maternal Child Department at NMCP. This includes coverage in Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby (Postpartum), and the Complicated OB/GYN Surgery Unit. The RN will provide inpatient care for mothers and newborns, manage laboring patients, assist with deliveries, and support patients during postpartum recovery or high-risk pregnancy admissions.General Duties:Deliver care consistent with MTF policies, nursing standards, and clinical privilegesRespond to obstetrical emergencies and high-acuity patient needsMaintain documentation using approved electronic medical record systemsCollaborate with the multidisciplinary care team (OB/GYNs, pediatricians, lactation consultants, social workers)Follow infection control, safety, and clinical protocolsSpecific Duties:Provide nursing care for laboring patients, including fetal monitoring and labor supportAssist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as neededMonitor and care for postpartum mothers and newborns (Mother-Baby Unit)Care for patients in the Complicated OB/GYN Surgery Unit (high-risk OB)Educate patients on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recoveryAdminister medications and treatments as prescribedDocument patient progress and update providers accordinglySupport family-centered care and bondingFloat between OB units as required by workloadQualifications:Degree:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Education:Graduate from a college or university accredited by the NLNAC or CCNECertification:Basic Life Support (BLS) – RequiredNeonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Highly preferredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – PreferredExperience:Minimum one year of full-time experience in inpatient obstetrics (labor & delivery, postpartum, or high-risk OB) within the past three yearsLicensure:Current, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territorySkills and Abilities:Proficient in labor support, postpartum recovery, and newborn assessmentSkilled in managing obstetric emergencies and fetal monitoringComfortable with rotating shifts and high-acuity environmentsCompassionate, adaptable, and capable of working in a family-centered care modelStrong communication and documentation skillsBenefits:Competitive Pay80 hours of paid vacation annuallyUp to 56 hours of sick time11 paid federal holidaysHealth, Dental, Vision Insurance401K PlanSchedule:Sunday through SaturdayRotating 12-hour shifts: 1845–0715 (nights) and 0645–1915 (days)Up to 120 hours per week total coverage (as part of a multi-RN team)Weekend and holiday work requiredWork Environment:Inpatient maternal-child units within NMCPMay work in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, or High-Risk OB/Surgical unitsFamily-centered, multidisciplinary care environmentImmunization Requirement:Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis B, TDAP, Influenza, and TB screening requiredMust complete NAVMED 6260/91 or DHA equivalent formSecurity Requirement:Must pass background check and credentialingExpect up to 90 days for full clearanceEqual Opportunity Employer:AIMS Locum Tenens is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
