Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients ranging across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using well-established assessment tools and observational practices. Create individualized treatment plans that consider both immediate and long-lasting communication or swallowing targets. Implement focused therapeutic interventions in one-on-one settings, addressing communication, language fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care. Provide educational support to patients and their families, enabling them to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions. Assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions as needed, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery journey. Keep meticulous and timely documentation that aligns with all relevant regulations and organizational protocols. Commit to continuous advancement by engaging in professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge in the field. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based interventions across all age groups, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing. Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Capability to modify therapeutic strategies to cater to varied cultural and linguistic requirements. Strong analytical skills and clinical judgement.
