We are seeking someone who is ready to take charge and drive a team through each day with a positive attitude. We are a fast paced kitchen, serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner.We are looking for an experienced and qualified Kitchen Manager/Chef to organize the kitchen’s activities. Responsibilities would include creating a new menu, performing cooking duties, supervising kitchen staff, monitoring stock levels, and taking on culinary tasks as they arise. To be successful, you should demonstrate a sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations to ensure the safety of guests.Responsibilities:Train staff to use new recipes, cooking techniques, and oversee cooks performing food preparationAccountability for the dishes and ensuring they measure up to the expectations of management and customersKnowledge of safety procedures, including safe temperatures at which ingredients must be kept and to which food must be prepared to avoid foodborne illnessAbility to work as part of a teamInterpersonal skills to interact with a variety of other people, such as waitstaff, dishwashers, management and sometimes customersCalm demeanor to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environmentManual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools, such as knife techniques for chopping, slicing, cutting and dicingAbility to stand in one place for hours at a time, handle extreme heat and work shiftsEnsure ingredients and final products are freshFollow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredientsBake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foodsPresent, garnish and arrange final dishesOccasionally serve foodMaintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishesHandle and store ingredients and foodRequirements:Proven working experience as a head chef or similar positionExcellent record of kitchen managementAbility to spot and resolve problems efficientlyCapable of delegating multiple tasksCommunication and leadership skillsKeep up with cooking trends and best practicesIf this sounds like a good fit for you, fill out an application at LucisUrbanConcepts.com/Careers or apply here on indeed.Please specify all locations and positions of interest, all 3 locations are currently seeking someone to fill this position.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $53,000.00 - $58,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible scheduleFood providedHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance401(k) match
