Lifeguard (Year-round, On-Call)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Perform lifeguard duties: supervise pool, perform appropriate lifesaving actions in emergency situations, administer first aid and/or CPR when appropriate, enforce safety rules and regulations, work at front gate as cashier, fill out forms, participate in-service training, perform safety inspections daily. Maintain pool and pool area: check chemical level in pools, clean and vacuum pool, pick up trash, clean decks, clean bathrooms, office areas, and deck furniture as needed. Teach lessons (if WSI certified), including swimming and water exercises, guard swimmers taking lessons, assist with registration for lessons. Performs such other duties as may be assigned. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 15 years of age at time of hire. Regular punctual attendance is required. Certification(s)/Licenses Required: American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification required. EMPLOYMENT TESTING: Employment is contingent on passing post-offer, pre-employment drug testing and criminal background investigation.
