Requisition ID: 43492BR Business Unit: TSU Job Description: CDM Smith is excited to invite applications for a Junior Sediment Remediation Engineer position. We are looking for motivated individuals who have experience collaborating with engineers and scientists on sediment remediation projects for various clients, including Federal and Public sectors. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate the feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and prepare design plans for large riverine and coastal sites while engaging with multiple stakeholders. Understand principles of sediment and contaminant transport, site assessment, sampling technologies, cap modeling, and remedial action design. Support mathematical and statistical evaluations of environmental data sets. Act as a task manager for various project components involving complex sediment sites, developing strategies and effectively communicating with clients. Possess in-depth knowledge of CERCLA process steps at sediment Superfund sites. Serve as a technical liaison with clients, communicating complex evaluations clearly to non-experts. Lead team efforts in reviewing technical information to ensure it meets regulations and is technically sound. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as project demands dictate. Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Qualifications: Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Client-focused approach and ability to collaborate with Federal and Public agencies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills. Pay Range: $71,781 - $118,477 Work Location Options: Hybrid work options may be considered for the successful candidate. This position might require background checks and drug testing as per applicable regulations.
