The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills What You will Do: Seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud & Backend Engineer with a strong background in cloud-native development, medical imaging standards (DICOM/DICOMWeb), and device-to-cloud integration. Candidate will play a key role in building secure, scalable, and compliant systems that connect medical devices to the cloud, enabling real-time imaging workflows and data analytics. Key Responsibilities Design and implement cloud-based pipelines for ingesting, storing, and processing DICOM imaging data from edge devices. Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using modern frameworks (e.g., Python, Java). Integrate with DICOMWeb services, including STOW-RS, WADO-RS, and QIDO-RS, for image upload, retrieval, and query. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., AWS CDK, Terraform). Ensure secure data transmission using TLS, IAM, and OAuth2, with full audit logging and compliance with HIPAA and FDA 21 CFR. Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions. What You Will Bring: Project Development experience in Cloud (preferably AWS) Strong backend software development expertise in Java & Python Good working knowledge in integrating medical devices or edge systems with cloud platforms. Work Experience 5-6 years of experience in cloud computing (preferably AWS). Strong backend development skills in Python and Java. Hands-on experience with DICOM and DICOMweb, especially STOW-RS for image ingestion. Experience integrating medical devices or edge systems with cloud platforms. Familiarity with PACS, or similar imaging systems. Solid understanding of HIPAA, data privacy, and security best practices. Pay Range: $100,000 to $120,000k/Year Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in Wauwatosa, WI You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
