Chief Estimator Responsibilities: Oversee several projects while managing a capable team. Provide expert leadership and guidance by establishing and monitoring estimating resources and best practices. Coordinate with senior management to align the business's growth with strategic objectives. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of submissions. Assign team responsibilities and set estimating review timelines. Support various projects from operational, financial, and resource perspectives. Negotiate bids for new construction projects. Review and level subcontractor proposals. Create detailed scopes of work for subcontracting. Perform quantity take-offs and provide square foot analysis in a clear, organized format. Chief Estimator Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in the commercial construction sector. Bachelor's degree highly preferred. Strong knowledge of various construction methods, planning, scheduling, and sequencing. Proven management skills with the ability to inspire and lead teams. Capability to present information effectively and address inquiries from diverse departments. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. Independent problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset. Proficient in Procore, MS Office, and other relevant software.
