Finance Manager, Prime Programs

We are looking for a Finance Manager who will drive strategic thinking and business partnership for the US Prime program. You will be making impactful contributions to plans presented to senior leadership (SVP level) while maintaining a high standard for data accuracy. Your insights won’t just inform decisions; they will shape them. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate closely with the US Prime team to support essential finance activities related to Amazon's Prime program. This includes forecasting, strategic planning, financial modeling, and ad hoc analysis for Prime Membership. As the central point of contact for a holistic view of US Prime, you will engage with various stakeholders across Retail Stores, WW Prime, and US Prime Benefits (such as Prime Video, Prime Gaming, Shipping, etc.). A successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional skills in blending financial and economic principles with the ability to work across teams, evaluating tradeoffs between business needs and technical limitations. Key Responsibilities: Partner with cross-organizational finance and business teams to assess financial trade-offs and drive US Prime toward new growth opportunities. Evaluate key initiatives and processes to ensure alignment and consistency in measuring program performance. Transform ambiguous challenges into clear frameworks with KPIs to evaluate team success. Conduct market research using both internal and external data sources, synthesizing complex information into actionable insights for senior leadership and partner teams. Lead automation initiatives for critical finance processes. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual planning and forecasting cycles. The US Prime team is focused on delivering the most engaging, satisfying, and beloved membership program, which serves to drive the Amazon flywheel by expanding the member base and enhancing engagement with Prime benefits. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) or an MBA with 5+ years of relevant analytical experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS An MBA or CPA is highly desirable. Proficiency in SQL/ETL. 6+ years of experience solving complex business challenges through accurate and timely financial models and analysis. Experience with extensive data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards). The base salary range for this position is: USA, VA, Arlington - 95,400.00 - 163,200.00 USD annually and USA, WA, Seattle - 95,400.00 - 163,200.00 USD annually. Your Amazon compensation package will also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
