Company: HM Insurance Group Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Vice President of Underwriting Leadership to drive profit and revenue for HM Insurance Group's billion-dollar stop loss business. In this key position, you will shape and execute innovative pricing and underwriting strategies aligned with our board's objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in corporate strategic planning, identifying business opportunities, and evaluating market conditions to develop both short-term and long-term organizational strategies. You will play an essential role in managing a diverse Underwriting Department and overseeing external partners responsible for underwriting functions on behalf of HM Insurance Group. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and monitor effective pricing and underwriting strategies for all business lines within HM Insurance Group. Lead and cultivate a high-performing Underwriting Department, promoting team collaboration and excellence. Manage relationships with external partners carrying out underwriting activities in alignment with HM Insurance Group's objectives. Contribute to corporate strategic initiatives and foster strong relationships with key external producers and vendors. Perform additional duties as necessary to support the organization's goals. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree. Over 10 years of diverse underwriting experience across multiple product lines. Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in business. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proven leadership in diverse environments. Deep understanding of underwriting stop loss, Workers Compensation, and ancillary life and accident products. Strong negotiation and closing capabilities. Ability to adapt effectively to dynamic environments. Excellent coaching skills with a global perspective. Scope of Responsibility: This role includes the management of other employees, with 5 direct reports and a total of 65 direct and indirect reports. Work Environment: Travel is required for this role. Collaboration is key, and punctual attendance is essential. Employees may need to work irregular hours, including holidays and weekends. Compensation: Pay Range Minimum: $198,900.00 Pay Range Maximum: $424,900.00 Base pay will be influenced by qualifications, experience, and contributions, along with internal equity, market analysis, and business needs. Note that the salary range does not reflect geographic differentials that may apply.
