Your Opportunity as a PRN Hospital Pharmacy Technician We are currently seeking a PRN Hospital Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team at PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Wausau. You will have the flexibility to work as needed during our pharmacy hours, which are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. As a Technician II in our Health Systems Pharmacy, you will assist pharmacists in the daily workings of the pharmacy, which encompasses tasks such as preparing and filling prescriptions, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. You will play a vital role in facilitating timely and accurate order fulfillment for our patients. Key Responsibilities: Support pharmacists in filling prescription orders in alignment with State Pharmacy Board guidelines. Prepare medications for dispensing and manage packaging and shipment. Conduct inventory management including placing orders, stocking shelves, and removing expired items. Enter medical supply orders into the pharmacy system efficiently. Maintain professional communication with patients, clinics, caregivers, and physicians. Process the return of medications and ensure proper documentation for credits or destruction. Input patient data and prescription details into our management system accurately. Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies. Take on other duties as assigned to support the pharmacy team. Qualifications: Wisconsin State Pharmacy Technician license/registration. National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) is preferred. IV experience is preferred. Previous inpatient hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. Familiarity with Pyxis systems is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service aptitude. Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with attention to detail. Proficient in multitasking and exercising sound judgment. Demonstrated ability with technology, including computers, smartphones, and tablets. May require additional credentialing from vendors. Your Work Expectations: Utilize your knowledge and skills to complete assigned tasks effectively. Show a willingness to learn and adapt to new information and methods. Maintain all required licenses and certifications. Handle routine assignments that may involve some problem resolution. Follow established standard operating procedures. Uphold all quality guidelines in your work. Work under moderate supervision, with regular output reviews. Refer complex issues to your supervisor when needed. Compensation: Anticipated hourly range is $18.90 to $24.30, based on various factors including location, experience, and skills. Benefits: Paid time off in compliance with applicable laws.
