Job Description Job Description Buyer I Santa Ana, CA Pay : $34.50 per hour 26-01535 Position Summary The Buyer I is responsible for procuring goods and services in support of business operations while ensuring cost effectiveness, quality, and on-time delivery. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support day-to-day purchasing activities and continuous improvement of the procurement process. Key Responsibilities Review and process purchase requisitions in accordance with company policies and procedures Identify qualified suppliers and solicit bids, quotes, and proposals Evaluate supplier pricing, terms, and capabilities; negotiate to achieve best value Create and manage purchase orders and contracts within SAP Track and expedite orders to meet project and operational timelines Resolve supplier issues related to pricing, quality, or delivery discrepancies Maintain supplier relationships and support supplier performance evaluations Ensure accurate documentation and data entry within procurement systems Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related role Working knowledge of procurement processes and best practices 1-3 years of SAP experience in a purchasing environment Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience with ERP or procurement software Familiarity with contract management principles Knowledge of supply chain logistics and inventory management Procurement or supply chain certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) #ZR
