We seek an experienced Lead Procurement Specialist who can strategically manage purchasing and replenishment across various categories, including Alcohol and Produce. If you possess forecasting and vendor management experience and have a love for food, keep reading! As a Lead Procurement Specialist, you will provide mentorship and guidance to Buyers, ensuring they grow within a values-driven environment focused on best practices. You will develop and implement strategic sourcing and replenishment plans that meet company objectives while ensuring a consistent and cost-effective supply. In partnership with Category Managers, you will negotiate pricing strategies, contracts, and service agreements to maximize value and mitigate risks. You will oversee high-volume product categories by managing inventory levels, adjusting replenishment tactics, and ensuring accurate execution of purchase orders. Building strong vendor relationships will be crucial; you will evaluate proposals, manage the bidding process, and foster long-term partnerships. You will analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify areas for improvement and maintain a competitive edge. Proactively communicating with internal teams and leadership about supply chain risks, opportunities, promotional planning, and compliance with standards will be key aspects of your role. Collaboration with other departments will be essential to drive success. The ideal candidate will have: 5+ years of experience in buying, procurement, or supply chain management, particularly in retail or grocery sectors. A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred. Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities, with expertise in demand forecasting, inventory planning, and data analysis. A proven track record in vendor negotiations, contract oversight, and cost optimization initiatives. In-depth understanding of procurement strategies, replenishment systems, and supply chain processes. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor, influence, and collaborate across all organizational levels. The capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, along with a flexible schedule for occasional travel and weekend availability. Ready to join us?
