Founding Engineer [Full Stack]

The Role: Were looking for a Founding Engineer to join us in building out the core product at a0.dev. If youre a full stack engineer whos passionate about mobile app development, obsessed with great developer tools, and excited about using AI to make app development even easier than web development, wed love to talk. As a founding team member, youll have outsized impactnot just on the codebase, but on the product, culture, and direction of the company. Youll work in-person directly with the founders and take ownership of important parts of our stack. What Youll do: Youll work directly with the founders to: Build and ship core product features daily across our Next.JS and React Native app and work closely with our designers. Create Backend Services and Infra that are consumed across many different clients, internally and externally, over WebSocket and HTTP Develop AI Agents to automate the app dev lifecycleeverything from code to deployment on the app store Support Users and identify pain points and quickly ship fixes and improvements Rigorously test the a0.dev app creation process and build and launch your own mobile apps using a0.dev that earn money on the app store. What Were Looking for: Strong Typescript and Next.JS Experience Strong React Native Experience Willing to work 5 days/week in-person in San Francisco Strong communication skills Experience with Supabase / Postgres Back-end development experience High Agency: Able to figure things out without much hand-holding Good Vibes and Startup Energy: Were a small scrappy team looking for someone whos excited about our mission, able to move fast, and fits well with our team.
