Job Description Summary: The Infrastructure Modernization team is seeking a Lead Product Architect to play a critical role as both a visionary and hands-on technical leader in our Workload Automation and DevOps solutions. These solutions are essential for our clients to automate crucial business processes, ensure dependable workload execution, and modernize their software development and deployment practices. This role requires substantial expertise in automation technologies and DevOps pipeline strategies. You will be a recognized thought leader, steering the evolution of our products to serve enterprise mainframe and hybrid cloud environments effectively. By collaborating closely with customers, engineering teams, sales, and product management, you will ensure our offerings remain robust, reliable, performant, operationally straightforward, and highly secure. Key modernization initiatives include: Integrating generative and predictive AI to enhance operational outcomes and automate enterprise workflows. Architecting scalable, resilient automation platforms for dynamic workloads. Developing modern, secure APIs for seamless integration with ecosystem partners. Streamlining deployments compatible with modern containerization and provisioning technologies. Delivering solutions that automate workflows across the entire hybrid enterprise stack. Key Role Responsibilities: Create and maintain an automation architecture showcasing essential capabilities and future-ready value for customers. Oversee requirements and backlog maintenance for alignment with product direction. Evaluate and recommend key functionalities to support future vision-based use cases, ensuring competitive differentiation and market leadership. Provide insights on technical debt assessment and resolution. Explore automation integration opportunities across Rocket and partner ecosystems. Minimum Qualifications: 10+ years of software engineering or technical product experience with at least 5 years in a senior technical leadership role. Deep knowledge of automation technologies, workload orchestration, and DevOps practices. Proven experience with scalable, resilient platforms in hybrid cloud and mainframe environments. Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (Java, Python, Go, etc.) and API design. Hands-on experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools. Familiarity with observability platforms, security best practices, and performance optimization. Proven ability to define the technical vision and roadmap for enterprise solutions. Experience mentoring global engineering teams while contributing technically. Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. Expertise in enterprise workload automation and integration with business processes. Understanding of AI/ML integration for automation use cases. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to thrive in a global, distributed work environment. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
