Position Purpose: Join Global Custom Commerce as a dynamic Lead Software Engineer ready to explore new challenges. In this role, you will architect, design, develop, enhance, and test cutting-edge web and hybrid mobile applications utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend, alongside .NET for the backend, delivering top-notch, responsive user experiences across various devices. Key Responsibilities: 20% Collaborate with your team to drive the launch of innovative, interconnected retail businesses and customer experiences. 20% Engage in high-level architecture and design conversations to guide the team’s direction. 20% Design, code, and test application features and components for both backend and frontend to align with business needs. 20% Partner with developers across the organization to share insights and enhance our ability to deliver world-class applications swiftly. 20% Lead efforts to ensure stories are completed effectively as part of the team dynamics. Direct Manager/Direct Reports: This position reports to the Director of Interconnected Retail. You will have 5 direct reports to mentor and guide. Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel of less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements: This role primarily requires sitting in a comfortable position, with regular opportunities to move. Occasionally, lifting light articles may be necessary. Working Conditions: Work in a comfortable indoor environment with infrequent unpleasant conditions. Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NServiceBus is advantageous. Proficiency in optimizing browser client experiences is a plus. Familiarity with other server-side stacks like Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP is a plus. Experience in developing native or hybrid mobile applications for iOS and/or Android is beneficial. Knowledge of NoSQL databases, such as RavenDB or MongoDB, is a plus. Minimum Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required. Preferred Education: No additional education is necessary. Minimum Years of Work Experience: A minimum of 4 years in software development is required. Certifications: No certifications required. Competencies: Proficient in using the .NET stack for back-end web and service applications with C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL, and an ORM. Expertise in building responsive web applications with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Familiarity with Angular2 or React frameworks. Possesses broad application development skills with a hands-on coding approach. Experience with asynchronous message architectures is beneficial.
