Join Our Compassionate Team and Make a Difference As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Medicaid Market, you will play a vital role in analyzing and forecasting financial data, delivering insights that influence strategic and operational decisions. This position requires a deep understanding of the interplay between various organizational capabilities. In this role, you will oversee financial operations supporting Medicaid Managed Care for Humana Healthy Horizons® in Ohio. You will develop relationships with key financial stakeholders, manage budgeting and forecasting processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and oversee audit activities. Collaborating closely with the health plan's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will navigate daily financial operations effectively. Location Requirements: Candidates must either reside in Ohio or be prepared to relocate, with proximity to Columbus, OH, necessary for regular market leadership meetings and business interactions. Make a Meaningful Impact with Your Skills Key Responsibilities Provide financial leadership within the State Medicaid Market, gaining a thorough understanding of Humana's Medicaid strategies, capabilities, and operational processes. Manage the Market’s profit and loss (P&L) through effective budgeting, forecasting, and financial analytics. Participate in all state-required CFO meetings, including the Quarterly Meeting. Support market leaders with insightful financial reports, long-term planning, and performance driver analysis. Conduct financial analysis to identify month-end drivers and ensure compliance with Commonwealth requirements. Perform impact analysis for new contracts and assist in negotiations. Develop and oversee Market-specific strategic plans focused on a five-year outlook and annual budget targets. Identify medical cost trends and lead initiatives for medical cost improvement. Guide the development of rate and pricing strategies. Administer and advance value-based programs. Ensure compliance with all regulatory financial reporting and contract management obligations. Build strong relationships with Department of Health partners, leveraging insights into the Medicaid regulatory landscape. Cultivate business relationships that enhance performance knowledge and drive improvement. Lead and develop financial staff through all phases, from recruitment to training opportunities. Stay informed on Medicaid regulations and the competitive environment. Foster relationships to enhance performance across the organization. Support financial staff in their career development journey. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of financial management experience. Strong background in healthcare finance. Expertise in strategic planning, accounting, and financial analysis. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience in data analysis and performance measurement. A commitment to enhancing consumer experiences. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Experience with Medicaid or state partnership financial operations. Background in developing value-based programs. Travel: While primarily remote, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range $168,000 - $231,000 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and company performance.
