Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in designing and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems. Expertise in Java or C++ programming languages. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python. Strong understanding of the Linux kernel and networking protocols, including Ethernet, IP, TCP, and HTTP. In-depth knowledge of system performance and hardware acceleration techniques. Proficient in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems fundamentals. Experience with databases, storage, and distributed persistence technologies. Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning abilities. Experience in building multi-tenant infrastructure is highly desirable. Responsibilities: As a technical leader, you will guide the software design and development for key components and features of the Object Storage Service. You should be a proficient coder and a versatile distributed systems generalist, capable of navigating any part of the technology stack and designing complex system interactions. You will establish software architecture with a focus on performance, utilizing hardware acceleration wherever feasible. Compensation and Benefits: The compensation range for this position is $96,800 to $251,600 annually, with potential eligibility for bonuses, equity, and deferred compensation.
