Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Provide strategic leadership and direction to nursing staff in the Medical ICU, including recruitment, onboarding, professional development, scheduling, and performance management. Oversee and coordinate patient care delivery to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based practice in a high-acuity, critical care environment. Manage daily unit operations, including staffing resources, equipment readiness, and budgetary oversight. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards related to critical care. Candidate requirements Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, or related field strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive clinical experience in critical care nursing (MICU, SICU, or similar), with at least 3 years in a leadership, management, or supervisory role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or Nurse Executive (NE-BC/NEA-BC) preferred.
