About Our Partner Our client is a well-established, multi-site agricultural operation with a long history of operational excellence and regulatory discipline. With facilities located within a 40-mile radius, this organization operates at scale while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented culture. They are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to serve as the primary leader overseeing environmental compliance, workplace safety, regulatory reporting, and agency relations across all sites. This is a highly visible leadership role with direct impact on operational integrity, compliance stability, and long-term infrastructure development. Position Overview The EHS Manager will lead and oversee all environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple facilities. This individual will serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, manage internal and external reporting, and ensure proactive compliance with OSHA, environmental, and workers' compensation regulations. This role requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable in the field, capable of responding to issues in real time, and available as needed (24/7 responsiveness when required). Key Responsibilities Environmental Compliance & Oversight Oversee environmental quality programs Monitor air quality and wastewater compliance Regulate pollutants and ensure regulatory adherence Conduct monthly Ammonia and Hydrogen Sulfide testing Test generators and air quality systems Manage new construction permitting processes Safety & Risk Management Monitor OSHA, Workers' Compensation, and safety regulations Conduct safety investigations and root cause analysis Track injury trends and develop corrective action plans Lead safety walkthroughs and manage internal safety reporting Respond to citizen and government complaints Reporting & Agency Relations Manage external reports including inspections, complaints, notices of violation, and legal documentation Serve as the primary contact during regulatory audits and annual assessments Maintain training records and compliance documentation Training & Leadership Ensure all required safety and compliance training is completed and scheduled Provide ongoing training support to operations Keep executive leadership informed of EHS concerns and risks What Success Looks Like Proactive compliance with minimal violations Clear injury trend reporting and measurable safety improvements Strong relationships with regulatory agencies Organized documentation and reporting systems Operational leadership that strengthens compliance culture QualificationsExperience 5+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience Experience in food, agriculture, or related operational environments preferred Strong knowledge of OSHA, Workers' Compensation, and environmental regulations Education High school diploma required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Management, or related field preferred Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with attention to detail Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-site environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to prioritize and delegate effectively Available 24/7 as operational needs require Additional Details Travel up to 50% across multiple sites (within 40-mile radius) Company vehicle and vehicle allowance provided Field-based role with hands-on operational presence
