District 87 is home to one high school, one junior high, six elementary schools, and one early childhood school. We also have the Bloomington Career Academy which provides career exploration opportunities to high school students at Bloomington High School and surrounding school districts. Please review the attached job description in the bottom right-hand corner. This is a 10-month position beginning August 3, 2026. The annual base salary for this position is established within the range of $55,000 - $68,687.46. Placement within this range will be determined based on the candidate's commensurate experience in a comparable position. Candidates with prior special education work experience are preferred. In addition to the annual base salary, an optional compensation amount of $20,988 can be deferred to a 403(b) retirement plan, family medical insurance and/or be taken as taxable cash compensation. TRS, employee medical insurance and a life insurance benefit are Board-paid by District 87. Dental, vision, voluntary life, flexible spending and dependent care are available at the employee's expense. Employment beginning after the normal employment start date will be prorated based on the number of days worked.
