Check out our employee perks here! What You Will Do: Plan and implement specific treatment programs for assigned patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy. Evaluate patient performance, establish rehabilitation goals in collaboration with the team, and adjust plans as needed for optimal outcomes. • Assess patients, implement individualized treatment programs, and periodically evaluate progress toward discharge goals • Provide patient and family education on exercises, motor learning, mobility, and self-care techniques • Document care, treatment plans, and progress reports in alignment with departmental standards • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to establish and support patient discharge plans • Coordinate with external vendors to secure adaptive equipment when needed and funding is confirmed • Train staff on patient mobility and equipment usage • Participate in professional development and departmental initiatives • Provide supervision and training for assistants, techs, students, and volunteers • Support process improvements and recommend equipment or supplies that enhance the rehab program • Complete additional assignments and projects as needed What Sets BRG Apart: At Baton Rouge General, we are a community of compassionate, caring individuals who set the bar when it comes to healthcare excellence.
