Light of Life Rescue Mission is a safe refuge for homeless and hurting people in the Pittsburgh area. We are a ministry certified as a 'Best Christian Workplace' by BCWI, a national institute that consults faith-based organizations. Light of Life seeks a part-time Care Team Leader for Sister's Recovery House, our facility for single women. This person will work on-site to help clients gain understanding of issues and work toward stability in a grace-filled environment.Reporting to the Women and Children's Program Manager, the Care Team Leader will uphold House safety while walking closely alongside the clients to understand each woman's unique challenges, opportunities and relationships while providing guidance on the path to recovery.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Full-time position with evening hours Tuesdays through SaturdaysCoordinate and lead weekly House Meetings Oversee monthly Community MeetingsCoordinate and support volunteers to help with in-house activitiesOversee and dispense any medications determined by client care plans and assist with drug screening as necessaryInput notes into the online system and provide incident reportsConduct random urine drug tests as neededAttend Light of Life staff meetingsAddress all safety, maintenance, and facility issues with the Light of Life maintenance teamConduct apartment inspections and assign chore responsibilities to maintain the house as a safe and clean environmentTransport clients in Mission vehicles including a 15-passenger vanOn-going communication with the Women & Children's SupervisorAttend Women & Children's Long-Term Program meetings and other evening events Due to the interface with the clients, all jobs at Light of Life require employees to: Walk alongside clients as a disciple of Christ and share the Gospel through actions and words.Establish mutual trust and create a safe, authentic environment.Resolve all issues in ways that promote the principles of Light of Life.Exhibit love for Jesus, co-workers, and clients.Help the clients make choices that are justifiably in their eternal best interest.Practice effective stewardship of all resources.Model personal responsibility, accountability, timely reporting, and a growth-oriented lifestyle. Education/Experience/Skills: High school diploma or equivalent required; college courses a plusKnowledge from formal and experiential training in drug and alcohol recovery plus mental illness, preferredIf in life recovery, current track record of at least 3 years healthy stabilityFamiliarity with Office365 and cloud-based softwareLight of Life Ministries Inc offers a comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision and other valuable benefits, which begin the first of the month following employment.
