Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 05/18/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:RN - Med Surg Job Details:• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM• Night shifts with every 3rd weekend requirement• Float to Emergency Room as needed based on daily staffing• Holiday rotation participation desired• No on-call requirements• 20-bed medical-surgical unit with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)• Must be confident in assessments, infusion pumps, medication administration, and teamwork• Required to titrate drips including insulin, heparin, and levophed• Manage respiratory equipment including Hamilton C1 ventilator with CPAP and BiPAP• Read and document telemetry strips each shift using Mindray monitors• Care for patients with falls, CHF, bowel obstruction, A-fib, and swing bed patients• Work with CNAs and PCTs who assist with vital signs and documentation• Use MEDITECH charting system• Emergency room experience preferred but first-time travelers welcome• 3-6 shift orientation depending on staff availability• Scrubs required with no specific color requirement• BSN not required Facility:This Critical Access Hospital operates as a close-knit healthcare environment where staff members work collaboratively across multiple departments.
