This PRN opportunity is ideal for an experienced sonographer who is flexible and available to provide coverage across various shifts , supporting both scheduled and as-needed imaging needs.As a Multispecialty Sonographer , you will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across multiple specialties while delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care in a collaborative hospital environment.What You'll Do Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in two or more specialties according to established protocols. Produce high-quality sonographic images and obtain accurate measurements for physician interpretation. Identify, evaluate, and document abnormalities; expand exam scope when clinically appropriate. Prepare and position patients; clearly explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation. Assist providers with ultrasound-guided procedures when required. Maintain ultrasound equipment, perform quality control, and troubleshoot issues as needed. Follow all infection control, safety, and patient-care standards . Collaborate with Radiologists, nurses, and imaging staff to support efficient workflow and patient satisfaction. Accurately document procedures and maintain imaging records within PACS and EMR systems . Participate in call rotation as required. Why Baylor Scott & White Pflugerville? Requirements Education: Graduate of an Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Experience: Less than 1 year Certification / Licensure: Certified by ARDMS in at least two specialties , such as: RDMS: AB, OB/GYN, BR, PS RDCS: AE, FE, PE RVT or RMSKS BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire) Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and sonographic principles Excellent communication, patient-care, and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt to a flexible PRN schedule As a health care system committed to improving the health of those we serve, we are asking our employees to model the same behaviours that we promote to our patients.
