Role Expectations Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized evaluations and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment plans targeting immediate goals as well as long-term communication and swallowing challenges. Deliver focused speech therapy interventions addressing areas such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing difficulties. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and families to formulate comprehensive care approaches. Engage patients and families in educational discussions to enhance progress beyond clinical environments. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and therapeutic activities, ensuring seamless care continuity. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with all regulations and best practices. Pursue professional advancement through ongoing education and collaborative opportunities. Required Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. Exemplary communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
