Job Description

Join a dedicated healthcare team as an Advanced Respiratory Therapist, providing expert respiratory care across inpatient and outpatient settings in a vibrant regional healthcare facility located in the Southern United States. Under the guidance of the Respiratory Therapy Director, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care by expertly managing respiratory equipment and procedures. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain various respiratory devices used in diagnosing and treating respiratory conditions. Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and ensure accurate documentation and interpretation of results. Conduct daily quality control startup procedures and take corrective actions when necessary. Analyze patient samples, correlate findings with previous data, and report critical values promptly. Maintain departmental records and ensure compliance with patient and specimen identification policies. Collect specimens following established protocols, including performing and documenting Allen tests. Handle biohazardous materials safely and adhere to specimen rejection and acceptance guidelines. Participate actively in proficiency testing programs to uphold clinical standards. Education & Experience Applicants should possess a degree or certification in respiratory therapy and hold relevant credentials such as RRT. Prior experience in clinical respiratory care and familiarity with quality control procedures are essential. Requirements Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are crucial.
