To learn more about our company and the other supply chain companies of Ahold Delhaize USA, visit Mechanic II Building Maintenance Position Summary: Perform maintenance on all building and equipment both inside and outside the facility without assistance unless conditions require more than one person. Perform high quality work in a safe fashion and understand all safety rules for the task being performed. Responsible to work productively and make suggestion for improvements. Principle Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions): Enter their work into the computer maintenance system throughout their work shift and able to use the system to investigate repeat repairs and previous work performed on that equipment. Proficient in performing preventative and predictive maintenance with little or no assistance. Able to safely shut down systems. Make sure all equipment meets standards, codes and regulatory requirements. Able to trouble shoot and perform repairs on complex systems and equipment. The expectation is all Mechanic II roles can progress to Mechanic III through education and /or demonstrated ability. Able to perform repairs by themselves after instruction from Mechanic III. Ability to work in a -5 degree to 90+ degree Fahrenheit environment (temperature varies within each department) for long periods of time Knowledge: Mechanical and electrical aptitude Schematic / blueprint reading Willing to work flexible hours / on call Mechanics are required to supply their own tools Skills: Dexterity with both hands Abilities: Capable of working flexible hours / on call Education: High School graduate or equivalent diploma Experience: To come in at this level, the associate will need to show experience is related areas and demonstrate proficiency in these areas Supervision Received: Able to work independently with minimal supervision Supervision Given: Be able to provide guidance / coordination with the operation and maintenance staff Pay: Ranges from $24-$40.50/hour based on experience.
