The role focuses on system stability, performance, and resilience while advancing observability, real-time performance insights, and automated response to reduce operational risk and improve recovery time.Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.Rate: $67.00 to $77.00/hr. w2Responsibilities:Responsibilities Provide production support for cloud-based archival platforms with a focus on stability, performance, and resilience. Enhance observability and real-time visibility into application and infrastructure performance. Automate alerting and response mechanisms to reduce operational risk and improve recovery time. Support and monitor AWS services and environments. Deploy and support Kubernetes workloads and Kafka-based integrations. Triage production issues, identify performance improvements, and partner with Engineering teams on remediation. Create clear operational documentation and collaborate across multiple teams. Troubleshoot under time constraints and maintain high service availability. Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps workflows for reliable releases. Experience Requirements:Experience Requirements Hands-on AWS experience with services such as EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation. Strong production support background for Java applications. Kubernetes deployments and Kafka experience. Terraform for infrastructure as code. Proficiency with Linux administration. Knowledge of networking, firewalls, and load balancers. Containers and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes. Programming experience with Java, Python, Bash, and PowerShell. Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools. Monitoring, logging, and observability tooling experience. Database and storage concepts and support experience. Ability to triage production issues and identify performance optimizations. Ability to produce documentation and collaborate across teams. Ability to troubleshoot under pressure. Good CICS system knowledge (preferred). Gen AI knowledge (preferred). Motivation to learn basic mainframe navigation (preferred).
