Nurse Manager - Emergency Department Baltimore, Maryland Full TimeManager - Patient Care Services (RN / Registered Nurse) - Emergency Department Newly Renovated Emergency Department | Baltimore, MD The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring safe, age-appropriate patient care is provided during unit operations. This role serves as a role model, advisor, resource, and leader for the patient care team. Key Responsibilities • Ensure safe and effective delivery of emergency and trauma-level patient care. • Serve as clinical and operational leader for assigned emergency services team(s). • Ensure staff competencies, compliance, and unit-based standards are completed and maintained. • Monitor monthly operating expense performance aligned to annual budget and targets including: o Operating budget o Productivity standards o Overtime utilization o Premium pay standards • Communicate and collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to promote inclusion and belonging. • Ensure appropriate hiring and provide welcoming onboarding/support for new hires. • Champion patient experience with a relationship-focused approach. • Ensure accurate payroll/pay practices to meet department and business needs. • Manage performance and development of individuals and teams; direct, assign, review work. • Support disciplinary actions up to and including termination as required. • Maintain stewardship of organizational resources. • Support evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient experience initiatives.
