Mission-driven energy + infrastructure projects Long-term federal program with multiyear stability About Our Client Our client is a long-standing, designbuild energy infrastructure specialist operating as one of only ~60 ESCOs in the U.S. They focus exclusively on deepenergy retrofits, mechanical upgrades, and performance-driven modernization projects-particularly for federal agencies. Job Description The Commissioning Manager - Energy Infrastructure - DC will: Lead commissioning for large-scale MEP, HVAC, and controls retrofit projects across multiple federal buildings. Manage field testing, functional performance verification, and startup coordination. Develop and maintain commissioning plans, processes, and documentation throughout project life cycle. Interface with engineering, construction, and client teams to ensure optimal system performance and design compliance. Oversee commissioning agents, testing schedules, and onsite quality assurance. Conduct site visits, equipment inspections, and issue tracking for resolution. Contribute to energy efficiency and infrastructure modernization strategies. Provide reporting and performance validation for a portfolio exceeding $200M in upgrades. The Successful Applicant The Commissioning Manager - Energy Infrastructure - DC will have: 5+ years of experience in MEP, HVAC, or Controls Commissioning. Bachelor's degree preferred (not required). U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to federal project requirements. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, building automation, and field commissioning practices. Ability to manage complex, multifacility programs and coordinate with diverse technical teams. What's on Offer The Commissioning Manager - Energy Infrastructure - DC will receive: Base Salary: $115,000-$130,000 (flexible for strong candidates). Bonus: Variable annual bonus (0-20%+ of salary) based on individual & company performance. Benefits: Health, medical, dental, 401(k) with match (after 1 year), tuition reimbursement.
