Help a senior - Be a nursing home volunteer

We need volunteers to visit our nursing home residents and to assist with activities to help maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere. Volunteers reach out in their own very special way, helping with activities, or just spending time visiting with our residents. Volunteering at a nursing home can be a wonderful experience. Volunteering can offer you the opportunity to help someone in need, to explore a new career path or share your hobbies or passions with an older adult. Volunteers bring their unique skills, training and experience, in a warm and personal fashion. They provide that extra level of care and comfort that makes all the difference to our residents, patients and families. Volunteer opportunities are available seven days a week. We offer free meals and parking. Training is provided during the day or evenings as well as weekends to accommodate a variety of schedules. We also offer internships in administration and accounting, nursing, social work, rehabilitation therapy, recreational therapy, and research. Parker works with all kinds of volunteers from students to seniors. Whether you have a passion that you would like to bring to Parker or a special talent that you would like to share with our residents, we look forward to hearing from you!
