The Speech Therapist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in an outpatient setting. This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.Outpatient Speech Therapist (SLP) Pool/PRN Responsibilities Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing evaluations for outpatient populations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient goals Provide evidence-based therapy for adult patients Educate patients and families on treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely in the EMR Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards Support quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction efforts Patient Populations May Include Neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease) Voice and fluency disorders Cognitive-communication disorders Dysphagia Qualifications Required: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Florida State License in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Facility:BayCare Health System, Rehab Services Op I-WHHLocation: Winter Haven Hospital - Winter Haven, FLStatus: Pool, Exempt: NoShift Hours: varies/DaysWeekend Work: NoneOn Call: NoHow often will this team member be working remotely?
