More than five years of related work experience preferred. Additionally, experience with Microsoft OS and applications, VMware virtualization technology and HP Server hardware platforms. Technical and vendor certifications are encouraged. Ability to manage and prioritize projects and respond to deadlines. Requires continuing education regarding current technologies via training and learning opportunities. Must have excellent communication skills in order to work with team members, staff, students and vendors. General Summary Responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of system hardware, software and related infrastructure technologies. Individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the enterprise. Works closely with college entities on project planning, implementation and ongoing support. Ensures system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling faculty, staff and student success. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Functions Essential Functions Responsible for the administration, management and operation of critical information technology systems. On-premise, Cloud and SaaS environments. Includes Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, SQL, File and Print services. Microsoft Office 365 cloud. Ensures essential core business functions and college productivity. Essential Functions Administers datacenter physical and virtual infrastructure. Includes enterprise class storage and computer systems. Rack mount and blade format servers. VMware's vSphere infrastructure and virtual desktop infrastructure. Backups and disaster recovery and environmental systems. Ensures the capability, availability and reliability of computing resources for college services. Essential Functions Administers global information security systems. Includes Anti-Virus, Malware and Spyware protection systems. Various patching and threat detection systems. Performs daily assessment of risk and remediation for all institutional devices. Schedules off-hours maintenance windows. Monitor all forms of technology communication. Ensures protection from internal and external threats, sensitive data loss and data destruction by viruses and attacks. Essential Functions Maintains infrastructure team documentation and procedure library. Develops detailed documentation of installations, configurations and operations of supported systems and assigned tasks. Ensures seamless support redundancy in the event of loss or absence. Essential Functions Maintains knowledge on current computer industry technologies and seeks professional growth opportunities by attending related conferences, seminars and workshops and professional literature. Essential Functions Provides technical support to college stakeholders via Helpdesk system. Ensures timely response and resolution to technical incidents. Performs training and knowledge transfers when necessary to college entities. Essential Functions Performs duties of other IT Services personnel or as assigned by the Director of Network and Infrastructure Services and IT Services Manager.
