SAP SAC Planning Consultant

Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement enterprise driver-based planning, budgeting, and forecasting solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). • Lead the delivery of planning transformation projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and process optimization. • Provide ongoing support and maintenance of SAC Planning systems, including preparation for forecast and budgeting cycles. • Collaborate with FP&A teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable SAC models and dashboards. • Configure and optimize SAC features such as allocations, advanced formulas, value driver trees, and what-if simulations. • Build and maintain input-enabled stories, dashboards, scorecards, geo maps, and hierarchies in SAC. • Integrate SAC with SAP HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, and S/4HANA, ensuring seamless data flow and performance. • Lead testing cycles, troubleshoot issues, and provide performance tuning and debugging support. • Document business process flows, data workflows, and system configurations. FP&A Process Expertise: • Deep understanding of core FP&A cycles: annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, and rolling forecasts. • Experience supporting planning scenarios such as: • Revenue Planning: by product, region, or channel. • OPEX & CAPEX Planning: cost center-level planning, project-based capital expenditure. • Headcount & Workforce Planning: FTE planning, compensation modeling, and workforce cost forecasting. • Balance Sheet & Cash Flow Planning: working capital, depreciation, and liquidity forecasting. • Ability to partner with finance teams to align planning models with business drivers and KPIs. • Familiarity with financial consolidation and variance analysis processes. • Experience enabling predictive forecasting and scenario modeling to support strategic decision-making. Visualization & Modeling Expertise: • Exposure to building stories, dashboards, scorecards, and geo maps with a strong sense of data storytelling and usability. • Proficient in designing and managing value driver trees and hierarchies within SAC models. • Skilled in creating input-enabled stories and interactive planning interfaces tailored to business users. • Strong understanding of SAC's calendar, data workflows, and advanced formula capabilities. Required Skills & Experience: • 5+ years of experience in enterprise planning, with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations in SAC Planning. • Strong hands-on experience in SAC Planning scenarios including P&L, Balance Sheet, Revenue, OPEX, CAPEX, and Headcount planning. • Proven ability to configure and debug advanced calculations and performance optimization in SAC. • Prior experience with SAP BPC or BW-IP is highly desirable. • Excellent understanding of SAC Planning architecture and integration with SAP systems. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently advise clients and interact with both technical and business users. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications: • SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Analytics Cloud (Planning). • Experience with predictive forecasting and calendar-based planning workflows. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps
