Need At least 10-12+ Years of overall experience Position: Aurora PostgreSQL DBA Location: Charlotte, NC (4x per week Onsite) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: 10 years' experience building and maintaining complex mission-critical production database systems in PostgreSQL 4-5 years' experience working with AWS Aurora/RDS PostgreSQL Strong knowledge of working with DMS, CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and other DB monitoring tools like PMM or Foglight Strong knowledge and experience in integrating and working on cloud monitoring tools like Dynatrace and logging tools like Splunk Deep knowledge of database internals, troubleshooting, query optimization, explain plan analysis, and performance optimization Experience migrating databases from other DB engines to Aurora/RDS PostgreSQL Broad exposure and work experience on other databases and data warehousing technologies Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra and DynamoDB Excellent communication skills; should be able to communicate efficiently with customers and leaders, and lead discussions during incident calls Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Experience working with customers, resolving database, systems, and infrastructure-related issues, and providing systems architecture leadership Ability to analyze issues holistically, from the application tier through the database down to the storage Broad awareness of customer workloads and use cases, including performance, availability, and scalability Holistic exposure and work experience on AWS Cloud and Infrastructure Nice to have: AWS Cloud Practitioner certificate
