Pre-Press Plate Maker

Cenveo, a world leader in the management and distribution of print and related offerings, we are seeking a Pre-Press Plate Maker to work out of our Dallas, Texas location. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Also, some Vocational/Technical/Business schooling or equivalent work experience is required. The ideal candidate will have 7 - 10 years of relevant work experience. Cenveo offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Job Summary Under general supervision, Produce plates using digital and conventional platemaking equipment. Coordinate and print order jackets for scheduled work Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) These are functions that a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work in team environment Operate plating processors. Inspect plate quality. Compare plate to proof and imposition; identify each plate. Organize and route plates as instructed. Record work performed and update job tracking. Test and calibrate exposures. Coordinate plate remakes. Read and interpret specifications, layouts, and general understand of press schedules. Able to work with and maintain high environmental standards on ink and other waste material. Comply with all work and safety rules. Be available for overtime when needed. Perform other duties as required. Other (Non-Essential) Functions Includes functions that are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a "Reasonable Accommodation" under the ADA. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration (protection equipment is available). The noise level in the work environment can be loud (hearing protection is provided and required). The employee is often required to sit, climb, balance, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
