Job Description: Position Details: Compensation: Average annual earnings of $80,000 - $90,000 Schedule: Monday - Friday with daily home time! Sign-On Bonus: $333 weekly for the first 30 weeks! You will be responsible for delivering and unloading various food and food-related products to our customers over local and OTR routes. You'll ensure all deliveries are executed safely while adhering to company policies and DOT regulations. The role requires effective communication and teamwork to deliver outstanding customer service. Position Responsibilities: Complete the PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program successfully and maintain all required training records. Accompany and assist a driver trainer in executing deliveries, following all directions and instructions. Perform required safety checks, including pre/post trip inspections, to ensure all vehicles meet safety standards. Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and report any safety hazards immediately. Verify that the trailer is properly loaded and secure, performing item checks against customer invoices. Deliver customer orders on scheduled routes efficiently. Unloading products and transporting them to designated storage areas while conducting damage assessments and managing returns according to policy. Maintain security of the tractor, trailer, and freight at all times. Handle damaged goods and customer returns, complete required documentation and maintain cleanliness of equipment. Record daily hours of service in compliance with Federal DOT policies. Engage in general housekeeping duties in the truck and loading dock area as necessary. At the end of the shift, ensure all equipment is secured, and paperwork is completed. Carry out additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: 6 - 12 months of commercial driving experience required. High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Valid CDL A license is a must. Meet all state licensing or certification requirements (if applicable). Minimum age of 21 years. Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the last 3 years. Must pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check. Successful completion of a road test. Current valid DOT Health Card or ability to secure one. Able to lift and handle products ranging from 10-90 pounds throughout the shift.
