Daily caseload per tech varies. The technician will work 4x10 shifts from 20:00 to 06:30. Working holidays is required if they fall on the scheduled shift. On-call duty is not required. The clinician may float within the scope to meet facility needs. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. Approval will depend on unit needs. The facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a concern, please do not confirm assignments during the hurricane season, which runs from June through November. Peak hurricane activity occurs in August and September. Travelers must ensure that all compliance is completed on time for the proposed assignment. Candidates with a pending state license will be considered if proof of application is provided. Travelers will not be cleared to report to the facility until the state license is active. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Previous permanent staff must be separated from the facility system for 1 year before returning as a traveler. The institution will prioritize candidates who have the required license in hand. Candidates must not have any planned time off that could affect compliance completion. This position allows for floating as necessary to meet unit needs.
