A healthcare facility specializing in pediatric care is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist with a Registered Respiratory Therapist credential to support advanced respiratory services. This contract opportunity involves working predominantly with neonate and pediatric patients within a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment that houses 247 licensed beds. The facility is equipped with specialized programs including a Chest Pain Center and Certified Stroke Center, utilizing advanced technologies such as EPIC EMR and various ventilators (IPPV/NIPPV). Location: Situated in Concord, North Carolina, the area offers a balance of suburban convenience with access to vibrant city amenities. Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Weekend rotation every other weekend Travelers expected to work approximately 75% of holidays No on-call or callback requirements Responsibilities: Provide respiratory care to neonate, pediatric, and adult patients as needed across various units including ED, PICU, Pediatric CVICU, PCU, and general medical floors Administer ventilator support using IPPV and NIPPV technology Collaborate with respiratory leadership and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care Participate in departmental and neonatal orientation to ensure seamless integration Qualifications & Desired Experience: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required Valid North Carolina Respiratory Therapy license Current certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, including ventilator management Familiarity with pediatric and adult patient care in critical care settings Experience working within EPIC EMR preferred Additional Information: Travelers' permanent residence must be 50 miles outside the home unit radius Orientation includes 2 days departmental plus neonatal training Scrub color: Royal blue Free parking available Floating to other facilities will not be required This contract role offers the chance to work in a highly specialized pediatric care setting with excellent support and technology.
