Job Details Position: Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Hospital Location: Camp Hill, PA 17011 (Harrisburg area, Central Pennsylvania) Assignment Type: Travel Contract Start Date: March 23, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,520 - $1,640 Employment Type: W2 Openings: 1 Required Qualifications Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required Ability to perform CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines Strong clinical documentation, charting, and communication skills Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary critical care team Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality respiratory care including invasive and non-invasive ventilator management and ventilator weaning Administer physician-prescribed respiratory therapies including oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer treatments Perform patient transport and bedside respiratory assessments Conduct suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal) and monitor patients using pulse oximetry and capnography Perform chest physiotherapy and secretion clearance using appropriate techniques and equipment Review chest x-rays, perform 12-lead EKGs, and recognize basic arrhythmias Perform pulmonary function studies such as NIF and VC and assist with bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, and chest tube management Perform arterial punctures, analyze blood gas results, and follow lab protocols for specimen handling Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain ventilators and respiratory equipment Document treatments, patient responses, and therapy charges accurately in the medical record Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff and participate in shift-to-shift handoffs Perform other related duties as assigned Location Highlights Camp Hill, PA offers a welcoming community near Harrisburg with easy access to parks, shopping, dining, and major roadways.
