Security Compliance Analyst

Payrate: $61.00 - $72.00/hr. Summary: Seeking a Data Bearing Device (DBD) Security Operations Analyst to support intake requests and operational needs for DBD security within the IDC Security & Compliance team. This role handles day-to-day triage, device state investigations, and cross-functional coordination across data center operations, logistics, and engineering teams. Job Responsibilities: Complies with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Monitor, assess, and communicate regulatory changes and emerging compliance risks and trends to key partners and stakeholders. Assist business, Compliance, and other control function partners in responding to client escalations by conducting , compiling and presenting research as required. Remain current on emerging trends and developments, both within the local region and globally, affecting the regulatory environment Top skills: Understanding of data bearing device lifecycles (deployment, sanitization, destruction, reuse) Familiarity with sanitization methods (cryptographic erase, secure erase, overwrite) and physical destruction Experience with asset tracking, inventory management, or chain of custody systems Strong investigative and analytical skills - ability to research device history across multiple data sources Clear written communication for documenting findings and coordinating with cross-functional teams Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information security, data center operations, or related field 5+ years in data center operations, IT asset disposition (ITAD), IT asset management, or data security operations Experience investigating device or asset histories using databases, tracking systems, or inventory tools Understanding of data sanitization concepts (logical sanitization vs. physical destruction) and device lifecycle management Familiarity with compliance frameworks for media sanitization (NIST 800-88, IEEE 2883, or equivalent) Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent requests, and prioritize effectively Experience in data center environments (colocation, hyperscale, or enterprise) Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $61.00 - $72.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select.
