Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to K-12 students with developmental disabilities, including students who utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.Working alongside Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, educators, and multidisciplinary team members, the SLP will play a critical role in improving students' communication skills, classroom participation, and functional independence across school settings.Schedule & Compensation School-Based (10-Month Position): August-May June & July off Salary: $90,000 - $95,000 annually Compensation based on experience and qualifications Key Responsibilities Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services in classroom, small-group, and individual settings Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments Write detailed evaluation reports and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Program, monitor, and maintain AAC devices Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to integrate communication goals across environments Track student progress and maintain accurate service documentation Complete Medicaid billing in compliance with requirements Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary meetings Maintain professional communication with families and team members Adhere to school policies, therapy standards, and attendance expectations Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid Arizona SLP License Valid Arizona Department of Education Certificate Ability to obtain AHCCCS number and NPI for Medicaid billing Arizona Hearing Screening Certificate preferred Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of AAC systems and communication strategies Excellent collaboration and documentation skills Ability to motivate and support students with diverse communication needs Strong interpersonal and communication skills Work EnvironmentThis school-based role supports K-12 students in active educational settings and requires: Regular standing and walking throughout the school day Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs with assistance) Working with students who may display challenging behaviors Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and positive engagement Why Join Us?
