Job Description HR GeneralistSalary: $80,000-$85,000 DOE Schedule: Fully Onsite Location: Sacramento We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our client's onsite team and support a wide range of human resources functions. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for benefits management, onboarding, leave of absence administration, employee relations and the implementation and administration of company policies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment, enjoys being hands-on, and brings a strong foundation in HR employment law and HR best practices. Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desired. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage leave of absence administration, ensuring compliance and timely communication. Oversee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee support. Coordinate and facilitate employee onboarding to ensure a smooth new-hire experience. Assist with performance management processes and documentation. Support employee relations by helping address concerns, gather information, and maintain a positive workplace culture. Manage new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. Maintain knowledge of HR best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices. Support HR process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Maintain accurate HR records and support ongoing HR initiatives as needed. Ensure strong company culture by promoting engagement, supporting leadership in reinforcing company values, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 5-10 years of HR experience with broad generalist exposure. High school diploma required, degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. HR certification highly preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent). Strong understanding of LOA, benefits, and core HR processes. Union payroll experience a plus. Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through. Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desired. Ability to display integrity, discretion, and confidentiality. Proficient in HRIS and talent management systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
