Join Vibrint, where your career is a priority, and your future is our shared goal.____________________________________________________________We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chief Engineer to provide technical leadership, oversee solution design, and guide engineering teams in delivering high-quality, mission-focused systems. The Chief Engineer will be a Lead Technical Engineer and play a critical role in shaping technical strategy, ensuring compliance with standards, and mentoring team members to achieve project success. This individual will provide customer support to enable High Performance Computers to continue to run in operations, and support the range of UNIX, LINUX, Windows Systems, desktop applications, servers, and networks required in support of the mission. Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required. 25% CONUS travel requirement.Key Responsibilities Serves as the primary technical authority on the program, ensuring consistency, quality, and execution of the overall technical effort.Works directly with customer leads and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with mission objectives, requirements, and performance expectations.Support Program Management Team with ramp-up and transition activities.Provides direction oversight and technical direction to Task Leads.Drive HPC technical efficiencies across all tasks by fostering collaboration, technology sharing, innovation, best practices, and lessons learned.Serve as the local Site Reliability Lead.Serves as a member of the Risk and Opportunity Management Board.Works with the tasks leads to track program risks and opportunities, creating mitigations and driving to closure.Create and track program technical metrics.Provide input to program status reports and present technical status at to both internal and external leadership.Develop and review technical documentation, including design artifacts, interface specifications, and test plans.Works with task leads to define key performance indicators (KPIs) against which to monitor progress and performance.Works with task leads to create corrective action plans.Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration. Key Technologies Include: Linux Shell scripting (Various Flavors)Operating Systems: Red Hat, CentOS, SUSETechnologies: HPE, Lustre, VMWare, Salt, Nvidia, InfiniBand, Mellanox, slingshot, Slurm, bash, Graphana, ELK, Splunk, WEKA, Juniper, AristaObject Oriented Programming Languages (C, C++, Java)Python ProgrammingGCC compilerMulti-threaded softwareParallel processingCORBA, J2EEPerl or JavaScriptWorking knowledge of Configuration Management toolsStructured troubleshooting skillsSystem installation and working with HPC GOTS scheduler and resource management software Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, master's preferred.Minimum eight (8) years of engineering experience.Strong background in systems engineering, software engineering, system administration or related discipline.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams.Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Foundation Certification or ability to obtain shortly upon acceptance.Experience with Agile or DevSecOps methodologies.
