Job Description

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a part-time Physical Therapist specializing in inpatient care. This role involves evaluating and treating musculoskeletal, vascular, and neurological conditions with personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient. You will provide education and preventative care to patients, their families, and healthcare associates, acting as a vital liaison among patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and social services. Key Responsibilities: 1. Deliver high-quality patient care using clinical expertise, including evaluation, treatment planning, patient and family education, safety procedures, and effective communication. 2. Operate therapeutic equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, and wound care devices. 3. Guide patients in the use of assistive devices, orthotics, prosthetics, and exercise equipment. 4. Assist patients with mobility, strengthening exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, and activities of daily living. 5. Adapt therapy techniques for patients with cognitive or physical limitations. 6. Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with healthcare accreditation standards. 7. Participate in continuous quality improvement and peer review processes. 8. Foster excellent patient and colleague relations with professional communication. 9. Supervise aides, students, and volunteers as needed. 10. Support departmental functions and contribute to staff education. Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy program recognized by national professional associations. A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree is required. Continuing education relevant to clinical practice is encouraged. Licensure and Certifications: 1. Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the applicable state. 2. CPR certification is mandatory.
