Utilization Management Assistant Start Date: Must be able to start on 2/16/26. Position Type: Temporary (open-ended). Temp-to-hire possible for exceptional performers, but not guaranteed. Pay Rate: $20/hour Location: Fully Remote (must be able to work Arizona hours) Schedule Options Candidates must be available to work one of the following shifts (choice of 6:00 AM-3:00 PM or 7:00 AM-4:00 PM AZ time): 4 openings: Monday-Friday 1 opening: Tuesday-Saturday 2 openings: Sunday-Thursday Hiring Process Background check required (OIG + 9-panel rapid drug screen; no THC) Reliable internet required (remote role) Education Verification: High School Diploma Requied Employment Verification: Verifying the last 3 roles you have held. Position Overview The Utilization Management Assistant is an entry-level, highly administrative role supporting the Utilization Management team. This position is responsible for processing and distributing reauthorization requests, verifying insurance eligibility, maintaining accurate records, and supporting daily operational workflows. This role requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, and comfort working across multiple platforms, including portals, email, and fax systems. Key Responsibilities Process and distribute incoming reauthorization requests via internal systems, email, and fax Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for authorization requests Download files, enter data, and maintain accurate electronic records Respond to non-routine correspondence involving confidential and sensitive information Establish and maintain records in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies Provide administrative and customer service support as needed Adapt to changing daily tasks (portal work, inbound faxes, email requests, etc.) Support team operations and assist with additional duties as assigned Essential Functions Exhibits a professional, pleasant, and welcoming demeanor (phone and written communication) Manages workload distribution efficiently and accurately Handles confidential information with discretion and HIPAA awareness Works independently while also collaborating effectively with the team Qualifications Must be 18 years or older 1+ years Healthcare administrative experience Strong customer service orientation Detail-oriented with solid organizational and multitasking skills Self-directed, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision Knowledge & Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and databases Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow structured processes and directions Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently Pay Details: $20.00 per hour Search managed by: Erin Fuqua Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
