Radiologic Technologist - PRN

Position Summary: As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be pivotal in delivering top-notch clinical and administrative support within our healthcare settings. Your role will involve patient intake, executing standing orders, performing venipuncture, laboratory testing, and following up with patients as needed. You will have the opportunity to administer medications, upon demonstrating your competency, and perform X-ray imaging as part of our patient care processes. Primary Responsibilities: Be prepared to float to other locations and perform all assigned duties seamlessly. Adhere to MedStar Health's Code of Conduct, ensuring compliance with all governmental and accreditation guidelines. Complete required training such as safety and infection control. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by stocking and sterilizing equipment and preparing patient rooms for care. Stay engaged with new technologies and the electronic health record system, ensuring efficient patient flow through communication and attention to patient comfort. Conduct various medical tests including spirometry, vital signs, EKGs, and more under the supervision of a medical provider. Perform X-ray procedures in accordance with provider orders, manage equipment, and adhere to safety standards. Contribute to a respectful and professional atmosphere with patients, families, and coworkers. Deliver care aligned with MedStar’s mission and values, enhancing patient experiences and building loyalty. Assist with patient discharges and ensure clear communication with patients and families. Support your team during busy periods, including assisting colleagues with patient processing and front desk skills. Administer medications and injections after demonstration of competency. Qualifications: Associate degree. Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program. Externship experience in a medical or ambulatory health setting. Preferred 2 years of experience in a medical office environment. ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technology). Current Maryland, Virginia, or DC State License. BLS Certification (Basic Life Support). This position offers a competitive pay range of $29.73 - $53.49 per hour.
