Job Description

Role: Sonic Support Development Engineer Location: 100% Remote Visa: USC, GCH, GC EAD, H1B, H4 EAD. Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: Debugging issues reported by Customer on SONiC based NEs and providing the solution / work around for the same issues. Working with the platform development team to Validating the bug fixes and releasing patches to Customer. Work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with engineers, peer functional leads, Customer teams, Communicate clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences Competencies: Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet, LLDP, OSPF, BGP etc.) Good Understanding of SONiC Architecture, SAI layer. Ability to identify and resolve software and hardware issues. SONiC Expertise - SONiC NOS, SONiC Image Booting on ONIE-Compatible Target Boards Good understanding of "redis-server", "syncd", "swss" and "platform drivers - like fan, power, LED etc", "network drivers" are added advantage Hands-on with Linux Dockers, Docker networking Hands-on in SONiC based configuration and troubleshooting Good understanding on Linux kernel programming like kernel and user space programming etc. Hands-on in Cisco 8000 product. Proficient in - C, Pytho
