Hiring Range: $115,000 - $145,000 Full Time or Part Time: FULL TIME Additional DetailJOB DESCRIPTION Serve as a developer responsible for building and maintaining enterprise applications with a strong emphasis on front-end design and user experience. This position combines robust back-end development skills with creative UI/UX capabilities to deliver responsive, intuitive, and visually engaging solutions. The role requires proficiency in modern development frameworks, wireframing, and prototyping tools such as Figma along with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.This is a restricted position. Continued employment is contingent on the availability of grant or non-general funds.Please note this position follows a hybrid work schedule to include both in-office and telework. Candidates must be able to work from the assigned work location in Virginia. RESPONSIBILITIESDesign and develop responsive, interactive front-end components and robust back-end services using modern frameworks and technologies. Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups to communicate UI/UX concepts effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, database administrators, information security, business analysts, and project managers to align design and functionality with business goals. Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on user feedback. Ensure consistency in design systems and adherence to accessibility standards. Integrate front-end components with APIs and optimize performance for scalability. Develop and maintain server-side logic, data models, and integration with web services. Recommend tools and build/deployment processes for full stack development. Translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices for maintainability and scalability. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 3-5 years of experience in full stack development with a strong focus on front-end/UI/UX design. Knowledge of .NET development using C#, ASP.NET, Web API, JSON, and Web Services. Knowledge in responsive UI design patterns and frameworks. Knowledge of a variety of web-based UI development platforms/languages, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript. Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, Angular, Blazor) and back-end technologies (.NET stack). Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility best practices. Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools with specific experience using Figma preferred. Familiarity with API integration and front-end performance optimization. Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools. Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). Proficiency with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle). Ability to optimize both front-end and back-end for performance and scalability. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and ability to mentor junior developers. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an agile environment. Additional Considerations: Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).. Demonstrated experience creating wireframes and prototypes using Figma. Prior experience developing responsive web applications and implementing accessibility standards.
